Being a computer physicist

This species of physicist uses computer as his experiment apparatus. He deals mostly with computer code, rather than making contact with physical environment. Sometime he is rather strange, since his language is not understandable by others. This can be considered as an autism syndrome. Being more fluent in speaking C, awk or configuration scripts rather than English makes life even more difficult.

This creature always misses BUGs. He searches for them all day. He usually yells miserably, just to call them home. But sometimes love is vicious. After finding them he starts killling one by one. What a painful passion.

Being one of this creature is a destiny... not a choice.

Some programming projects

I have built my own molecular-dynamics code, the so called Object Molecular Dynamics. And now I changed its name to SimGen! I run simulations in cluster computers. Those are media of my eternal affair with bugs. The place where I can search them, and force them to a sweet surrender. But bugs are eternal. Bugs will never die...

Here is the list of my code. You can download it, and just tell me if you find some bugs, or new ideas, or whatever.

• Object-MD --- Object oriented molecular dynamics program, written in c++. I create it for my study purpose. But of course I have ideas more than that. You can find a small document about how to use, here: omdguide.pdf . The development log file can be read at Object-MD Log. Sorry if the discussion in log file does not relate directly to this source file. Its my personal log relating to this program, and I do not put all its applications. Check also at Google Code (http://code.google.com/p/object-md/).

• RenderBall --- A script to render an atom-position file to an image. The document describes how to use this program can be read here, and about how to make movie with MakeMovie can be seen here.
• Slider a.k.a TextSlider --- This is the presentation creator using swfc. This program take a plain text file as an input and parse it to an swfc script. The program depends on latex and convert (ImageMagick), and other conversion tools. The output is a presentation file in swf format. Flashplayer or Firefox can be used as the presentation player.
